In each episode of “39 Ways to Repair the World,” Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz – President and Dean of Valley Beit Midrash – explores one of the 39 melachot (categories of activity prohibited on Shabbat) through philosophical and theological perspectives. Each of these 39 melachot can help us more deeply realize the many dimensions of Shabbat rejuvenation. Furthermore, these melachot can teach us ways we can repair and heal our world (and ourselves, our families, and our communities) during the other 6 days of the week.
